Authentic Thai Food @ above average price.

Thai Gold Food locates on Bencoolen street. The restaurant operates by Thai. They have their own Thai Chef as well.The place opens at 11.30am, there's several outdoor seats for customers who wishes to dine outside as well. Food itself was not really Thai-Authentic. Service was prompt and efficient. Fair price to conclude.

The food was generally good - tables are slightly small and the service was fast but the tom yum soup isn't worth ordering - better to share than to order individually

One of the most overrated and pricey Thai food located at Sunshine Plaza. Food was mediocre at best, nothing great to shout about. Their Thai milk tea was so diluted; it was akin to drinking plain water.Save your money and go elsewhere for your Thai food fix.

Good authentic Thai food. Not much ambience with the place, but you go there for the food. Very reasonable price.After your meal, you can go next door to Merely Ice Cream :)

Used to be really authentic. Would patronize often from their noodles to rice and desserts like mango sticky rice.Miss their beef noodles. Server said they no longer have it. Guess it has been some time time since we have checked this place out. Settled for usual Tom Yam which tasted like what many non Thai locals could cook. Guess complacency has kicked in. Sad.Please review and reflect. Seems like it’s no longer exhibits the kind, diligent Thai culture we are used to.

The foods are not nice, customers were arranged to sit outside or nearby window to attract clients, when asked about recommendation of dishes said everything is nice, recommended BBQ beef, turned out beef appears to be unfresh and fried kailan vege also not very fresh, I think business is mainly good due to good location and many tourists came here. I personally feel the foods are not as nice compared to similar other local Thai restaurants.

Finally found my Thai food fix! This place serves authentic Thai food that is out of this world. The taste is so authentic that it transported me to Thailand. The crew here are all Thai. You can be most assured that you get the best quality Thai food if you dine here.

I over ordered and over ate. Their lime fish and grilled pork was fantastic. I also enjoyed their mango salad and the fried prawn cakes. Lovely and clean place for an affordable lunch with family.

Reasonable price, taste just like a local restaurant in Thailand. One thing have to say is that the seating area is quit narrow.

A hidden gem found conveniently located above Bencoolen MRT serving authentic Thai food. Thou the ambience was quite dim for indoor, but food was to our liking, the soup ingredients and fish was fresh. For 2 of us, we ordered the Steam Seabass Lime Sauce $25, Clear Tom Yum Seafood Soup $10, and Pandan Leaf Chicken $10 and 2 plates of rice. Will be back to try other dishes. 👍🏻

A good place to eat authentic Thai food. Draws in all crowds. Started eating here since 2009. Prices are competitive. However, it gets crowded for weekend dinner, so plan to be down early if you have a big group.

Summary based on one lunch:-Locally popular-Ok, but nothing special-Cheap. S$5 for pad see ew gai; S$1.50 for lime juiceI came here because it was raining and close to my hotel. Adjacent to another Thai restaurant

So so food. As a great fan of thai food - I would say they are average. Somehow the consistency of the food is lacking too.Edit: Last time I visited, there was random hair in the food we ordered.

The usual Thai meal, though the red curry pork was a little over bearing on the milky side. The rest of it are pretty decent. Do note you can only pay by cash

Authentic Thai food at reasonable prices. The place is a favourite with students in the area and tends to be packed at peak hours. Some of the worthy eats include olive fried rice, som tum and chicken in panda leaves. Note that it only operates during lunch and dinner timings.

Taste: Nothing fancy, can have better Thai food elsewhere. Will not go back again Dishes: 3 girls, We had ordered 1) Garlic Pork - it just a pork meat stir fried with garlic, it's dry. No frills tasty family style Thai food

Authentic Thai restaurant, and conveniently located near Bencoolen MRT. The food tastes good and the price is acceptable.The main low point is that the place feels a bit run down, and you cannot seat inside. There are dining tables inside, but they are used to put supplies or used as storage... The ambiance and atmosphere could be improved.

Thai Gold seems to be run by Thai, has a Thai chef helming the kitchen but somehow most of the dishes we tried twice just not taste like Thai authentic dishes. Take the Hor mok for example, it is too dry, has little coconut infused in it and the soups are more like watered down water cooked in some Veggy & meat.Service though was prompt & friendly.

Great Thai food at pocket friendly prices, especially considering the area. Service was nice, with friendly servers and prompt arrival of servers. Food quantity is generous. One star knocked off as quality is inconsistent. Some days its soooo delicious and authentic tasting and on others, it's like any other sg thai food taste.

Good Thai Food, with localized taste, I won't say this is authentic 100% but it's delicious. Service was bad when I was there, weekend dinner always packed. Tom Yum took 20+ mins to arrive while fried calamari and rice took 10mins. End up Tom Yum too salty. Table at my side ordered Pineapple Fried Rice, it took about 30 mins plus to arrive, with wrong order, it came up as basil chicken rice

If I am round the corner or printing stuff at Sunshine Plaza, this is my go to places for Thai Food. It is reasonable and the food is so good. But one downside of the stall is that, they only accept Cash. Do prepare cash, if you are thinking of trying it.

If You work nearby Bencoolen but want authentic Thai foods with good size of portion, You can go to Thai Gold Food.They offer the usual Thai foods you would find around Singapore, however for taste quality and price i feel they are one of the bests in this country. They also have good milk tea.

Thai food tasted quite homely but the price is a little steep

Second time coming here during dinner time on the weekday. It was a bit packed but we're lucky to get our table quick. We ordered classic dishes: pandan chicken, pad thai, and seafood tom yum. Portions were enough for 2 us girls. I'd say our favourite is the tom yum, so fresh and flavorful. Also ordered the thai tea which was good too. Service was like typical small Asian restaurant. I recommend it if you want quick authentic Thai food with reasonable price.

Super fast for take away food before class or on the go. Pineapple chicken friend rice and chicken pad Thai are highly recommended! Only S$6 and delicious.
